- Singing, Leadership skills, Song writing
Laura was born and raised in northern New Jersey. She was homeschool all the way up until the age of 13 when she took her education into her own hands and became an unschooler. She has never gone to school a day in her life. At the age of 18, Laura moved out of her parents house to live in Montpelier, Vermont. Where she worked at a Crepery, sang in a gospel choir, drank a lot of tea and did some major soul searching. After a year in Vermont it became clear to Laura that a rural life was not for her and change was inevitable.
For six months she traveled the east coast and crashed at her parents house in NJ. She is now currently living in Philadelphia where she lindy hops and blues dances as much as possible. She is working to find a community that she belongs in and is learning how to create a life she wants. She hopes to get involved in the Philly music scene and start taking formal training in music in a consistent capacity.
If you happen to come across Laura you most like find her: Talking about politics, non-profits, non-verbal communication, education, emotional sciences or anything that else that you could think of. Laughing until she almost passes out, Blues dancing or lindy hopping, laying in the sun, getting into heated debates about Star Wars or anything created by Joss Whedon, singing by herself or with a group of people and getting overly enthusiastic about her peers ideas.
